Hello ! I'm excited to be reviewing "Uncovering Cobbogoth" by Hannah L. Clark. It's an exciting an very detailed adventure that is a YA genre adventure , romance, with a whole lot of myth chasing knowledge to top it off.
The story is told through the eyes of Norah Luken. Thought to be orphaned & brought up by her eccentric "Indiana Jone's" type Uncle Jack, Norah or "Nilla" as her Uncle affectionately called her ( in reference to her almost ivory complexion & hair) was experiencing her worst times when we start her tale. Heart broken & possibly mentally ill Norah is supposed to be graduating & going home when her entire life is thrown into chaos.
The legend of a race known as the Cobbogothian's had become her Uncle Jack's life's work. It was more than that. Since this is a "spoiler free" review I can't tell you much... but Norah is left to complete that life's work with only the help of people her Uncle had trusted with his earth shattering revelation.
Norah had fallen head over heels in love with James, a dreamy brown haired blue eyed neighbor that was Norah's first friend & love. James has secrets to.. Painful, emotional secrets that have the reader wondering which side he's truly on.
This book was a fun read. Fans of the "Davinci Code, Indiana Jone's, and anyone who loves the tales about lost cities & hoping that some of the myths they read about are more than just a tale. Getting to read about the legend of the Cobbogoth's, Dogrils, Thor's Hammer.
I'm a sucker for anything about Norse & Celtic mythology so when I read the blurb about this book I was looking forward to delving into it.
Hannah L. Clark did not dissapoint! I'm happy to give this book 4 stars & suggest that you not only enter the generous giveaway , but add this book to your shelves ASAP! It was an exciting read to the last page.
