I led him into the foyer and shut the door behind him. He followed me to the dining room and when I sat, he took the seat beside me. He caught my eyes and raised his brows expectantly.
“Niamh asked me to go to Tír na n’Óg with her and Liam.”
“What, you mean go right now?” Ethan asked.
I nodded. “She doesn’t want to wait until Aoife makes a move. In a way I agree with her.”
“Did you tell me you needed to talk so you could just tell me you were leaving?”
I glanced up at him. “Yes, I hoped you’d understand.”
“No Allison. I don’t understand,” he said, jumping up so fast the chair nearly fell over.
I hesitated. “Niamh came by after you left last night. I know there’s a lot going on here, but I’ve thought about it all night. The sooner we take care of the threat Aoife poses on all of us, the better.”
Ethan stared at me, his face hard. “I understand that part. But I told you whatever happens, I’m coming with you.”
“What?” I said, shaking my head. “You can’t.”
“Like hell I can’t.” He crossed his arms, eyes narrowed. “You’re not leaving me behind this time.”
I am so excited to be taking part in the virtual tour for "Stone of Destiny" by Laura Howard! I enjoyed the first book in the series so much that I became a member of Laura's street team. Being a huge fan of all things Fae I was drawn into the story immediately .
Told from the P.O.V. Allison , a teenager who has a tough home life & works hard at being a good student, wonderful granddaughter , and helpful daughter to her mother. It was a shock when she finds out that not only is her mother suffering from a completely different but no less painful problem.
When she meets her biological father Liam; a beautiful & young man who completely throws Ally's idea of reality to the wind as he tells her of her fae heritage. There is a way to cure her mother, reunite her parents, and save part of the fae realm that is dying due to the jealous woman who has gone to insane lengths not to share Liam with anyone... even his own children .
The world created by Laura Howard in the first book in the series "The Forgotten Ones", is just as enchanting in "Stone of Destiny".
For the more adult side if the YA genre this book has romance, adventure, betrayal ( when fae are involved it seems they can't help themselves). The only complaint this reader has it that it's not long enough! I want to know how it all works out. If anything says to me that a book deserves an enthusiastic recommendation and four stars it's that I'm waiting for book three to hit the shelves:) do yourself a solid and check out the other tour stops on this tour! Multiple chances to win your own copies if both books, character interviews, sneak peaks.. You get the idea:) thanks for checking in and please feel free to post comments.
Until next time - Mousehead & Tales
